ATLANTIC CITY, NJ (July 30, 2014) — Fans of HBO’s “Boardwalk Empire” are invited to experience an evening that allows them to get “Up Close and Personal With Anthony Laciura.” The talented entertainer shot to fame as Eddie Kessler, Nucky Thompson’s Guy Friday. The event, sponsored by Tropicana Casino & Resort, will be held on Friday, November 14, 2014 in Tropicana’s Grand Exhibition Center. Proceeds will benefit the Literacy Volunteers Association Cape-Atlantic.
Prior to earning mainstream fame through his portrayal of Eddie Kessler, Laciura held over 50 additional acting roles and sang tenor with the Metropolitan Opera House in New York City in more than 860 stunning performances.
All guests of “Up Close and Personal with Anthony Laciura” will be treated to a distinctive two-hour show which includes an interactive Q&A session, musical performances and one-of-a-kind storytelling about Laciura’s expansive career, including his experiences on “Boardwalk Empire.” Complementary light fare and a cash bar will also be provided for the evening.
This amazing evening of entertainment benefits the Literacy Volunteers Association Cape-Atlantic (LVA.) Literacy Volunteers is a volunteer-based, adult literacy program that trains tutors who provide free, individualized instruction to adults at the lowest literacy levels. LVA tutors offer basic literacy skills education including reading, writing, spelling and comprehension. Tutors also provide job preparedness, health and financial literacy, and English as a Secondary Language (ESL) instruction. LVA has a unique niche in adult education by offering instruction at the time and place of student need.
Tickets can be purchased at the Tropicana Box Office and through the Literacy Volunteers Association Cape-Atlantic starting August 1, 2014. They are $125/person. Doors for the event open at 7:00 p.m. Laciura’s performance follows from 8 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. with a question and answer until approximately 10 p.m.
