Trop Toasts to the Irish With A Week Dedicated To Whiskey

March 15-21 marks the return of Tropicana’s Whiskey Week

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ (January 26, 2015) — Tropicana is extending your St. Patrick’s Day celebration with a full week of high-energy festivities that have everyone feeling the luck of the Irish. Celebrate Whiskey Week with food and drink specials that will keep those Irish eyes (and stomachs) smiling!

Be sure to catch the 30th Annual Atlantic City St. Patrick’s Day Parade on Saturday, March 14th at 1pm. The parade features local high school marching bands, Irish step dancers, bagpipers, and a myriad of colorful floats. The parade travels along the Boardwalk to Albany Avenue, making Tropicana a prime viewing location.

Kick off Tropicana’s St. Patrick’s Day celebration at Boogie Nights’ Shamrocks and Shenanigans weekend. Friday, March 13, wear green and get free admission until 11pm. Continue the party on Saturday, March 14 when you can enjoy St. Patrick’s Day themed specials all night long.

Whiskey Week Specials – March 15-21

A DAM GOOD SPORTS BAR – Taste your way around the world of whiskey with a $15 Jim Beam Sampler.

BROADWAY BURGER BAR – Friday, March 20 at 7pm, Broadway Burger Bar will be hosting Whiskey Week with a twist! Featuring a New York mixologist preparing your bourbon, whiskey, and rye favorites just like you like them, this event will showcase some of the finest single barrel and small batch products from Michters, the nation’s oldest distiller. For a $35 admission fee, enjoy four courses of food served buffet style including four of your favorite drinks from Michters. The highlight of the event will be a drawing, where winners will select one of each of the four prizes furnished by Michters.

CARMINE’S – Celebrate whiskey Italian-style with a Very Italian Manhattan featuring Maker’s Mark and Punt e Mes Sweet Vermouth, and bitters for $13 or try Sinatra’s Iced Tea made with Rittenhouse Rye and maraschino cherry liqueur for $12.50. This whiskey sour cocktail will have you crooning in no time!

CASA TACO – Get ready for a Mexican/Irish fusion with delicious specials such as Mint Juleps with Basil Hayden’s bourbon, fresh muddled lime and mint, topped with crushed ice and Maraschino cherries for $10, Whiskey Chicken BLT served on a warm torta roll for $12, Bourbon Glazed Plantains topped with Maker’s Mark Caramel for $5, and Butterscotch Flan topped with whiskey whipped cream for $7.

FIESTA BUFFET – Tropicana’s signature buffet will feature Baked Ham in a Bourbon Mustard Glaze.

FIN – Whiskey goes gourmet with your choice of a Grilled Bone-in Ribeye with a Maker’s Mark mushroom and onion sauce, grilled asparagus, and au gratin potatoes for $45 or a Bourbon Glazed Faroe Island Salmon and Pan Roasted Lobster with chives, baby vegetables, and lobster mashed potatoes for $36. Save room for an Apple Tart with Irish Whiskey Sauce and Maple Walnut Ice Cream for $8.

FIREWATERS – Get your whiskey on with a whiskey tasting of your choice of four whiskeys for $10.

HOOTERS – Celebrate the luck of the Irish with $7 Jack Daniels specials.

IL VERDI – Savor a delicious dinner of Rosemary and Garlic Crusted Rack of Lamb with an Irish Whiskey Demiglaze served with roasted baby vegetables and fingerling potatoes for $45 and indulge in a Maple Bourbon Peach Cobbler with a Whiskey Crème Anglaise served with vanilla bean ice cream for dessert for $8.

OLD FARMER’S ALMANAC –  Spice up your kitchen with 20% off Kentucky Bourbon BBQ and hot sauces.

RIRA IRISH PUB – Tropicana’s authentic Irish pub is serving up a host of specials including food inspired by the famous Irish Whiskey Jameson – Jameson wings, Jameson glazed steak tips, and Jameson glazed salmon from $9-$17, and $5 Powers, Jameson, The Knot, and Irish Mist specials. Escape to  the Emerald Isle without leaving AC  with the Tour of Ireland flight featuring Jameson, Bushmills, and  Tullamore Dew for $10.
