The Dan Band Headlines Tropicana 6/13

The forecast for June just got a little bit hotter. Tropicana Casino & Resort will present cult favorites Dan Finnerty and THE DAN BAND in a live performance at 8 p.m. on Saturday, June 13, 2015 in the Tropicana Showroom. Tickets are $17, $22 and $32 and go on sale Friday, March 20, 2015 at the Tropicana Box Office or through Ticketmaster at www.ticketmaster.com or 1.800.736.1420.

THE DAN BAND got its start as a drunken joke, with Finnerty singing “I Am Woman” at a karaoke bar. The band has since spiraled into a music phenomenon garnering rave reviews from the New York Times, the Los Angeles Times, Daily Variety and Premiere magazine. Entertainment Weekly paid homage to the band by calling its concerts “The hottest ticket in Hollywood.”

Finnerty, who plays to sold out crowds from Los Angeles to New York, first caught America’s attention as the foul-mouthed wedding singer in the movie “Old School,” performing his now-infamous rendition of “Total Eclipse of the Heart.” He also appeared as the sleazy bat-mitzvah singer in “Starsky & Hutch” and in the record-breaking hit “The Hangover.”

Finnerty, a recurring correspondent on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and former member of the group STOMP, has released two CDs: “The Dan Band Live” followed by “Ho – A Dan Band Christmas” and is currently working on a third for Comedy Central Records called “The Wedding Album.”

Fans call a live show with THE DAN BAND “inventive, entertaining and funny as hell.” It’s will be a night to remember as Finnerty and his all-guy band perform their trademark expletive-ridden sendups of pop ballads.
