O.A.R. brings THE ROCKVILLE LP Tour to Tropicana November 22

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ (August 5, 2014) — Rock band O.A.R. will make a stop at Tropicana in celebration of its newest album release. The band will bring THE ROCKVILLE LP Tour to the Tropicana Showroom on Saturday, November 22, 2014 for a live performance at 8 p.m.

To date O.A.R. has sold close to two million albums and over two million concert tickets, including three sold-out shows at New York City’s Madison Square Garden. O.A.R. is renowned for its intense, vibrant live show and the communal feeling it shares with its fans. With each studio album, the band has endeavored to achieve that sense of immediacy. According to lead vocalist/guitarist Marc Roberge, on THE ROCKVILLE LP, they come awfully close.

“Every live band I know will always want nothing more than to carry their live performance onto the album. It’s an elusive thing to capture, so I’ll never say we nailed it,” Roberge says. “But I can guarantee we put that same live show energy and passion into each minute of THE ROCKVILLE LP and we can only hope the audience feels that.”
Inspired by their hometown, THE ROCKVILLE LP features some of O.A.R.’s most diverse, intricate songs to date. Bold horn arrangements weave in and out of several of the tunes, including “Irish Rose,” the jangly, story song “Caroline the Wrecking Ball,” as well as the ambitious “The Architect,” a song adored by longtime fans, but one O.A.R. had never committed to an album before.

Appearing with O.A.R. will be special guest Andy Grammer, who went from a hustling street performer on Santa Monica’s Third Street Promenade to Platinum-selling recording artist. With his 2011 self-titled debut album, Grammer became the first male pop star in a decade to reach the Top 10 at Adult Pop Radio on his first two singles, “Keep Your Head Up” and “Fine By Me,” certified Platinum and Gold respectively, selling more than 1.5 million downloads combined.
Tickets to see O.A.R. with special guest Andy Grammer are on sale beginning August 6 for $55, $60 and $65. They are available through Ticketmaster at www.ticketmaster.com or via phone at 1.800.736.1420, or at the Tropicana Box Office.
