It’s A Love Thing Tour featuring The Whispers, Bloodstone & Destinee Maree Comes to Trop February 14

 

Platinum Productions and Advancing Families Foundation proudly presents a special event on Saturday, February 14, 2015 featuring the legendary Whispers, Bloodstone and Philadelphia local artist Destinee Maree in Atlantic City.  This show will be held at the Tropicana Hotel & Casino in the Showroom.  Tickets are priced at $65/$55.

The Whispers members are twin brothers Walter and Wallace Scott, Nicolas Caldwell and Leaveil Degree. They began their legendary and timeless career in 1963. They have produced a string of hits over the last five decades. They’re consider the leading romantic group of their generation, racking up gold albums and charting numerous R&B hits. Some of their most popular hits are “(Let’s Go) All the Way”, (Olivia) Lost and Turned Out”, “And the Beat Goes On” and their most successful selling albums were “Lady” and “Rock Steady”. The Whisper recently celebrated 50 years in the music business with a successful tour.

Bloodstone formed in 1962 as a high school doo-wop group, in Kansas City, Missouri. They recorded their first album entitled Bloodstone which featured two hit singles “That’s The Way We Make Our Music”, and “Girl (You Look So Fine)”.  Their second album, Natural High reached the R&B Top 10 and it also reach the top #10 on the Pop charts. In the 1980s their albums “We Go a Long Way Back” and “Go On and Cry” had several chart topping hit singles.  They continue to perform to sold out venues and bring the fans to their feet with their rich and soulful voices.

Destinee Maree is a talented artist from Philadelphia who was a finalist for the “Steve Harvey Hoodie Awards.” This young lady with her powerful voice will leave you speechless as she performs songs from her album titled “Dress Rehearsal”. The Philadelphia music scene as a new star.
