Tropicana Presents John Kay & Steppenwolf July 25

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ (May 11, 2015) – Hard rock fans, get your motor runnin’. John Kay & Steppenwolf will perform live at Tropicana Casino and Resort on Saturday, July 25, 2015. Show time is 8 p.m. and tickets are priced $37, $47, $57 and $77. Tickets are available now at the Tropicana Box Office or through Ticketmaster at www.ticketmaster.com or 1.800.745.3000.

John Kay and Steppenwolf have emerged as one of rock’s most enduring and respected bands, delivering an impressive body of edgy, uncompromising music for more than three decades.

Powered by gritty vocals and a unique blues-based rock sound, Steppenwolf standards like “Born to Be Wild,” “Magic Carpet Ride,” “Rock Me” and “Monster” stand amongst rock’s most indelible anthems.

At last count, the band’s worldwide record sales exceed 25 million units. Its songs remain fixtures on classic-rock radio, and have been licensed for use in approximately 50 motion pictures and an even greater number of television programs. In addition to being the first band to use the term “heavy metal” in a song (in “Born to Be Wild”), Steppenwolf’s punchy style helped to establish the fundamentals of the hard-rock sound that would flourish in the 1970s.

Today’s Steppenwolf continues to generate vital new music. The band, which now includes longtime members Michael Wilk (keyboards/bass) and Ron Hurst (drums) and relatively recent addition Danny Johnson (guitar), has released seven albums and maintained a busy international touring schedule bringing that iconoclastic sound to fans around the world.
