Grammy Award-Winning Rock Pioneer Boz Scaggs Will Play Tropicana on October 8

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ (August 1, 2016) — For 40 years, soulful singer Boz Scaggs has been entertaining audiences with smooth hits like “Lowdown” and “Lido Shuffle.” Catch the excitement as he brings his band to Tropicana Atlantic City for a one-night performance, Saturday, October 8, 2016.

Boz Scaggs is a man of sizable talent as a singer, songwriter and guitarist. His explorations in rock, soul, jazz, blues and R&B have produced lasting work and a career that has brought with it acclaim, a loyal fan following, and an enduring respect among musicians.

Scagg’s remarkable career dates back to the late sixties with the Steve Miller Band. His solo triumphs include classic albums Silk Degrees (1976) and Middle Man (1980); and late-period high points like Some Change (1994) and Dig (2001).

March of 2015 saw the release of his newest album, A Fool to Care. The most compelling work to date in a celebrated and prolific career, this new collection of songs boasts Scaggs’ trailblazing blend of musical genres taken to new heights, and is the next chapter in the storytelling for which he is adored. A Fool to Care is the follow-up to the critically acclaimed, Billboard chart-topping album, Memphis that the Wall Street Journal called “The Wizardry of Boz” and USA Today called “Sublime.”

“I’m at a point where I’m having a lot of fun with music, more than ever,” Scaggs said. “It’s like I’m just going wherever I want to go with it.”

Tickets to see Boz Scaggs at Tropicana Atlantic City are $55, $65, and $75, not including tax and fees. Tickets can be purchased at the Tropicana Box Office and through Ticketmaster at www.ticketmaster.com or 1.800.745.3000. Doors open at 7 p.m. with show time at 8 p.m.
