Criss Cross Poker Now Playing at Tropicana Atlantic City

With two five-card poker hands, players can win down, across or both!

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ (October 26, 2015) – In addition to MORE fun, MORE value and MORE variety, Tropicana Atlantic City is now giving players MORE ways to win with the exciting addition of live Criss Cross Poker.

“Criss Cross Poker is a great poker variation that gives players two ways to win on a single hand. With payouts as high as 500 to 1, this game has already gotten a lot of attention from table game players on our casino floor,” said Steve Callender, General Manager of Tropicana Atlantic City.

Played with a single 52-card deck, the game begins with the player making two ante wagers of equal value: the “ante across” bet and the “ante down” bet. The player may also place an optional 5 Card Bonus Bet. The dealer then places five community cards face down in such a way that they form a cross.

Next, each player is dealt two-face down cards. After examining those cards, the player can fold or make an “across” bet that is one to three times the original “ante across” bet. The dealer will turn over two outside cards on the horizontal line of the cross.

From there, the player may fold or make a “down” bet that is one to three times the original “ante down” bet. The dealer will turn over two outside cards on the vertical line of the cross.

At this point, the player can choose to fold or make a “middle” bet of one to three times the original ante bets. The dealer turns over the middle card. The 5 Card Bonus is based on the five community cards making best five card poker hand and paid according to a paytable listed.

The player then uses their two cards plus the three community cards on the horizontal line of the cross to form an “across” hand and uses their two cards plus the three community cards on the vertical line of the cross to form a “down” hand.

Winning “across” and “down” bets are paid according to a paytable listed. The “middle” bet is paid if either the “across” or “down” hand qualifies as a win and is paid at the odds of the highest ranking hand. The two ante bets are paid even money on a pair of Jacks or better and push on pairs of 6s through 10s. The complete paytable is as follows:
