ATLANTIC CITY (June 29, 2016)– No one does disco better than Boogie Nights at Tropicana Atlantic City. After a successful inaugural event, Boogie Nights will be bringing back the nostalgia of the 70s with a monthly “Disco Dance Hour.” On the third Friday of every month   from 8:30pm to 9:30pm, local dance instructor extraordinaire Joey G from JSTAR Company will  teach dance favorites like The Hustle, The Electric Slide and more.

“Disco Dance Hour has been the perfect addition to our calendar at Boogie Nights, and we are excited to bring it back,” says Dave Pena, creator of Boogie Nights. “Joey G brings an amazing energy to this event and has done a fantastic job of instructing these dances, while at the same time keeping things lighthearted.”

Joey G is a versatile dancer who has performed on all of the casino stages in Atlantic City. One of the original, nationally-ranked hustle dancers, he continues to choreograph, perform and teach all types of dance. He has worked professionally with Dean Martin, Rita Moreno, Debbie Reynolds, Rip Taylor, Merv Griffin, Jerry Van Dyke, Phyllis Diller and many more celebrities during his years on the casino circuit. Recently, he represented the city of Philadelphia on “Dance Fever” and continues to perform, compete, judge and teach workshops at DISCOAMERICA, the longest running disco competition in the USA.

The “Disco Dance Hour” will take place on the third Friday of every month from 8:30-9:30pm at  Boogie Nights, the Ultimate 70s and 80s dance club at Tropicana Atlantic City. Admission is $5 which includes an instructional dance session as well as admission to the club for the entire evening. Must be at least 21.
