ATLANTIC CITY, NJ (October 7, 2009) – One of the music industry’s most recognizable voices, Smokey Robinson, will be crooning audiences in The Showroom at Tropicana. Legendary singer, songwriter and producer, Smokey Robinson, will bring his award-winning falsetto to the Tropicana Casino & Resort November 6 and 7, 2009.

Robinson’s most recent venture, Time Flies When Your Having Fun, was recorded in a “old school” way recorded live in studio with musicians. The album can best be described as “classic Smokey” with his signature languid, simmering slow numbers to his groove driven midtempo. Featuring the talents of Carlos Santana, India.Arie and Joss Stone, Time Flies When Your Having Fun will continue to provide his extensive fan base with the creativity, talent and that honey-coated voice they have come to desire.

As one of the most beloved entertainers of all time, Robinson has 37 Top 40 hits from 1960 to 1987, including “Shop Around” which was the first Motown #1 R&B hit and the first Motown million-seller. Along the way, Robinson has won a Grammy for “Just to See Her,” a Grammy Lifetime Achievement award, inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, a Soul Train Music Award for Career Achievement, a Kennedy Center honoree and a double honoree of a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame as a solo artist and member of The Miracles.
