ATLANTIC CITY, NJ (October 6, 2009) – Jack the Ripper, Sarah Palin, Ron Burgundy or Britney Spears – you never know who will be showing up at Tropicana over Halloween weekend! For the third year in a row, Tropicana Casino & Resort is celebrating Halloween with spook-tacular events, specials and costume contests.

Tropicana will host the Third Annual Halloween Costume Contest in The Quarter’s Fiesta Plaza beginning at 11 p.m. for all IN Card and Diamond Club Card members. The contest will feature three categories: Best Overall, Scariest and Best Group. Prizes for the event will feature a $500 gift card to Tropicana for Best Overall, overnight stay with gourmet dinner for two and show tickets for the Scariest and $50 Tropicana gift cards for each member of the Best Group. Guests can sign up for their IN Card or Diamond Club card on the night of the event at the New Member Center located in The Quarter.

On Friday, October 30 and Saturday, October 31, the IMAX Theater at Tropicana will be hosting a special showing of The Omen at 10 p.m. followed by Damian: The Omen II at midnight both nights. The ticket prices for both movies is $10 or $15 for both showings in the same night.

Stop by Rumba Lounge and Tango’s Lounge Halloween weekend for a specialty cocktail, The Pumpkin Eater for only $8.50.

Additional Halloween specials include:

• A Dam Good Sports Bar – Costume Contest Halloween night at 1 a.m. with a $666.00 cash prize
• Carmine’s – will be featuring a special drink, the Smashing Pumpkin Martini, beginning Halloween weekend and throughout November.

Tropicana will also host a Halloween party for the students, teachers and faculty at Texas Avenue school on Wednesday, October 28 at 10:30am.
