ATLANTIC CITY, NJ (March 3, 2009) – One of the
world’s top-selling instrumental artists, Chris Botti, makes his
debut appearance at the Tropicana Showroom on Saturday, April 4 at 9pm.
Trumpeter, Chris Botti is a gifted instrumentalist, a talented composer,
and a charismatic performer. His performance offers a unique sound, a
blend of classic jazz and pop music. Botti’s distinctive sound
has acquired him both critical acclaim and captured the attention of
the pop music world.
Recently Botti hosted Chris Botti in Boston where he invited a number
of guests, including Sting, Josh Groban, Yo Yo Ma, Steven Tyler, John
Mayer, Katharine McPhee, Lucia Micarelli and Sy Smith to join him, Keith
Lockhart and the Boston Pops Orchestra in September 2008.
In the studio and on stage Botti has worked with industry giants, including
Paul Simon, Joni Mitchell, Sting and renowned film composer John Barry.
Botti sold nearly three million albums worldwide, including “Italia,” “When
I Fall In Love,” “To Love Again: The Duets,” and “Chris
Botti Live with Orchestra & Special Guests.”
Botti began playing trumpet at age nine. His mother, who was a classically
trained pianist, was Botti’s first musical influence. After studying
under various exceptional teachers Botti went on to attain much success
as a solo trumpeter, recording artist, composer and film scorer.
