Hotel FAQ
- What time is hotel check in/check out? May I arrive at hotel to check in early?
Our standard hotel check-in time is 3:00 p.m. and standard check-out time is 11:00:am. Check-in time is 6:00pm on Sundays. You are welcome to confirm your reservation upon arrival. After you have surrendered your room keys at check-out you can store your luggage at Bell Services.
- What forms of ID are accepted to check into Tropicana?
A valid State issued ID, Military ID and Passport.
- What form of payment can we use?
American Express, Visa, Master Card, Discover and Cash. Debit Card usage will greatly reduce available funds.
- What is the minimum age to secure room reservations?
All guests 18 years of age and above may secure reservations. You must be 21 or older with valid State ID to enter the casino floor.
- What is the current parking tariff at Tropicana?
For Diamond Club members and registered hotel guests the parking rate is always $5.00. The daily parking tariff is posted at the entrance of the self-park garage and at valet and subject to change.
- Are there any additional fees associated with my room reservation?
All guest rooms are subject to local and state occupancy fees and phone surcharges.
- Can I reserve a specific room type?
Yes, we will make every effort to meet your requests to ensure your stay is enjoyable.
- Do you have a pool and exercise facility?
Yes. Our indoor and seasonal outdoor pool is complimentary for our registered guests. We offer an exercise facility available to our registered guests for a nominal daily fee.
- How do I get driving directions to Tropicana?
For your convience we have listed serveral different driving directions below with maps to our resort.
- Is there a charge for additional guests to stay in our assigned rooms?
All rooms are based on double occupancy. An additional $25.00 per person per night will apply.
- Can children stay for free at the Tropicana?
Children under 18 years of age may stay for free.
- Do you offer Hotel Room Packages?
The Tropicana does offer Room Packages and they can be found on our web site by clicking on the Accommodations link above.
- Does the Tropicana have a car rental agency on site?
We do not have a car rental agency in the hotel, however, you may
check with the area airports for car rental information, or you may
check online for the national car rental services.
Entertainment FAQ
- Where can tickets be picked up?
The Tropicana Box Office is located on 1st Floor North Tower
- How do you get comp tickets for club members who qualify?
Complimentaries are based on play. You just join the Diamond Club to qualify. Use your card when you play and invitations will be sent in the mail.
- What are Tropicana's Box Office hours?
Generally 1PM to 8PM Monday through Saturday and 1PM to 6PM on Sundays
Food & Beverage
- How often does the menu change at the Fiesta Buffett?
The menu which consists of nine different stations changes every 15 days.
- Where can I eat a meal at 2:00AM?
Our Seaside Café is open 24 hours a day and is located adjacent to the casino floor.
- What type of food is served in the Seaside Cafe?
Seaside Café has a full service menu offering items from omelets to steak. We have just added a brick oven pizza menu.
- What type of food is available in the poker room?
The poker room offers a sandwich & soup of the day as well as a light fare menu.
- What type of gourmet restaurants does your casino have?
We have three gourmet rooms; Wellington's which is our steak & seafood house, Golden Dynasty our traditional Chinese restaurant & Il Verdi our northern Italian restaurant.
- Where can I get a drink and enjoy entertainment?
Tango's Casino Lounge, located in Crystal Court just off the casino, offers daily live entertainment, and is open from 12:30 pm until 3a.m.
- Is room service available and when?
Room Service is available 24 hours a day and offers a full menu including hospitality suites. You can also enjoy our new brick oven pizza menu.
- Are there any private Catering/Banquets available?
We offer a full service Catering/Banquets department that will help you plan your event from start to finish. Rated the best in the city, our catering staff awaits your call.
Poker FAQ
- Where do I register for a tournament?
Registration takes place 2 hours before each tournament, at the tournament podium, which is centrally located in the Poker Room. Registration will remain open until the start of the event.
- Can I pre-register or register by phone?
Registration for all tourney events must be done in person and paid for in cash.
- Do I need a player’s card to enter into a tournament?
Yes. All participants must have a Trop Poker Club card in order to register. If you do not have one, simply ask us for an application and the card is ready within minutes! Poker cards must be done in person. Bring ID.
- Is there a fee for your club card?
The card is free to all players! However, to replace your club card, there will be $2 charge, which is automatically deducted from your comp account.
- How long are the daily tournaments?
Each tournament differs in length. On average, our tourneys are 5-8 hours long.
- What’s a re buy?
A re buy gives players the opportunity to get back into the tournament. The cost to re buy is the same as the buy-in. Chip Qualifier: Players must be at or below the original chip issuance amount.
- What is an add-on?
One add-on is allowed at the end of the 3rd round. It allows players to increase their chips and stay in the tournament longer. The cost to add-on is the same dollar amount as the buy-in. There are no chip qualifications.
- How long are the tournament rounds?
The tournament rounds are 20-30 minutes long. The limits or blinds increase with each round.
- What are the starting blinds and limits?
On Wednesday & Friday No Limit Hold’em tourneys, the blinds start at $25 & $50. On all other No Limit tourneys, start at $25 & $25.
- If I play tournaments, does that qualify me for the poker rate?
Tournament play is not rated. To qualify for the poker rate, players must average a minimum of 4 hours or more, on any live poker game, prior to getting a poker reservation.
- How many spots are paid winners?
FOR GUARANTEED $10,000 1st Place TOURNAMENTS (NO LIMIT HOLD’EM):
TOURNAMENTS WITH 150 OR MORE PLAYERS – THE LAST 18 SPOTS ARE PAID WINNERS; 1ST Place receiving $10,000;
TOURNEYS WITH 100 TO 149 PLAYERS – THE LAST 9 SPOTS ARE PAID; 1ST Place receiving $10,000
TOURNEYS W/ 50 TO 99 PLAYERS – THE LAST 9 SPOTS ARE PAID WINNERS; 1ST Place receiving 40% of the prize pool;
TOURNEYS WITH 49 PARTICIPANTS OR LESS, THE LAST 5 POSITIONS ARE PAID WINNERS!
FOR TOURNAMENTS WITHOUT THE GUARANTEED 1ST PLACE:
TOURNAMENTS WITH 120 OR MORE PARTICIPANTS, THE LAST 18 POSITIONS ARE PLACE WINNERS. FOR TOURNEYS WITH 50-119, THE LAST TABLE WINS (8 PLAYERS IN STUD & 9 PLAYERS IN HOLD’EM); AND TOURNEYS WITH 49 PARTICIPANTS OR LESS, THE LAST 5 PLAYERS ARE PAID WINNERS.
- How do I get invited to the free roll tournament?
Players who played 30 hours or more, in one month, on any live poker game, are invited to the Monthly Invitational Tournament. The free roll tournament is held every last Monday of the month.
