Forty-Five Minute Wine Expert with John Mahoney Saturday, February 27th 3:00 p.m. (45 minutes) 

Become a wine expert in just forty-five minutes as John Mahoney, Certified Wine Educator breaks down everything you need to know.

John Mahoney has judged wines across the United States and Europe, and has taught literature at high schools and colleges for over 40 years. He is Chancellor of the Dionysian Society International, a member of the American Wine Society, a Chevalerie du Verre Galant (Knights of Cognac), President of New Jersey Club Zinfandel, Director of the Tri-State Wine College, and is the voice of “Weekend Wine Tips” on the radio. He currently teaches British Literature for Seton Hall University at Saint Augustine Prep in Richland, New Jersey. He also hosts corporate wine education seminars and teaches wine classes each semester.

Meet the Winemaker: Jack Tomasello (Tomasello Winery) Saturday, February 27th 3:30 p.m. (30 minutes)

Interested in the wine making process? Meet Jack Tomasello, third generation Winemaker at Tomasello Winery in Hammonton, NJ. Jack will host an information session providing his background at Tomasello as well as their philosophies and wines. Question and answer session to follow.

Tomasello currently has 70 acres under vine, with more than 30 different varieties of grapes including Native American, French hybrids and classic vinifera. Tomasello Winery is located in the heart of the Outer Coastal Plain – American Viticultural Area (AVA). This federally recognized viticultural region is home to some of the oldest wineries in the country

Wine-tertainment with Phillip Silverstone Saturday, February 27th 4:00 p.m. (1 hour)

Enjoy an hour with “Wine-tertainer” Phillip Silverstone.  Ever the consummate raconteur, Silverstone’s presentation will be filled with his un-snooty, unpretentious and unpredictable dry British humor.

Phillip Silverstone’s wine philosophy is refreshingly simple and unique. His anecdotes, short stories, outspoken opinions and practical “unstuffy” tips are aimed at anyone who enjoys a light-hearted approach to an often dull topic.

London born Silverstone is the producer and host of “Time Out With Phillip Silverstone” heard worldwide on Tunein Radio and his syndicated weekly column appears each week throughout the Delaware Valley.

Compare the quality and flavors of four New Jersey wines alongside four international wines including German, Italian and French varietals.

Enjoy a guided tasting covering everything from how the wines are made, the typical flavors you can expect in the glass and fun facts about wine. Question and answer session to follow.

Bellview Winery, Landisville NJ. Jim Quarella has always had a love for growing things. Working on the family farm with his father, Joe, and mother, Lettizia, since early childhood fostered an appreciation in him for all things agricultural. At the age of 16 Jim and some of his friends had an acre of vineyard that they tended for fun. June 7th, 2014 marked the 100th anniversary of Bellview Farms.
